A private bodega based in the small town of Ribadumia. It is owned by Carlos Castro Serantes, who owns a vineyard and also buys in grapes - this is normal in this part of Spain, where there are many small proprietors. Mr Castro cultivates his vineyard with the minimum intervention - 'lutte raisonnée' in French terms.
Mr Castro produces three different cuvées of Albariño. The wine is made in small, temperature-controlled, stainless steel vats. Fining is with bentonite - which means that this wine is suitable for vegetarians.
RIA de AROSA is named for one of the principal rias of the coast of Pontevedra.
