Pierre Amadieu established his estate and négociant business in 1929. Today his son and grandson (Pierre junior) continue to own and manage the business. The domaine has grown from its original seven hectares to 140 hectares in the Gigondas Appellation - 10% of the total area. At the heart is the Domaine Romane Machotte, west-facing vineyards at 300 meters altitude.
Pierre Amadieu also maintains close relations with growers and producers in other Rhône Appellations, to offer excellent examples of the finest of these.
