Whilst Cristal has iconic status throughout the world, it is actually the Brut Premier which Roederer would consider to be their flagship wine – here Roederer’s focus on producing a consistent style, year on year, is relentless. Roederer has two distinct advantages over their competitors in the making of this wine. Firstly, they own 200 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards, which gives them unparalleled control over the quality of their grapes. Secondly, they have a unique treasury of reserve wines and ‘liqueur wines’ which add a fantastic fullness of flavour and complexity.
Frédéric Rouzaud has recently taken the helm from his father Jean-Claude and is the sixth generation of his family to continue in their passionate pursuit of perfection.
