'Our wines are a true expression of our lands, our heritage and our people'. Contessa Giuseppina Guerrieri Rizzardi (1873-1967)
Guerrieri Rizzard is one of the oldest and most respected estates in the Veneto. The Contessa Maria Cristina Rizzardi is the Managing Director and with her family, guides this stunning and historical producer. Contessa Rizzardi is the winner of 'Firenze Donna' 2006. This highly prestigious award is given to the woman who has made the greatest contribution to today's society and culture from the world of business.
The vineyards and winemaking are managed by Giuseppe Rizzardi, who trained in Bordeaux.
The Guerrieri Rizzardi are one if the very few producers to hold land in all three of the historic Classico areas of the Veneto:

The Soave vineyards are well-placed in the hills within sight of the Castello di Soave, at the heart of the DOC Classico area.

All of the Bardolino vineyards are in the Classico area, and receive the reflections from Lake Garda, as ancient tradition says they should. The Bardolino estate also produces exquisite olive oil within the Garda Denominazione di Origine Protetta. A rare vinegar (more difficult to make than wine!) from an Amarone wine base makes a fitting pairing. The estate's offices are in the Palazzo Guerrieri on the edge of the town.

The Valpolicella vineyards are in the commune of Negrar, one of the historic communes of the Classico area. Beautifully situated in foothills of the Pre-Alps. The Villa Rizzardi features an important 18th Century formal garden with a rare 'green theatre'.
