Sauvignon Blanc 1005, from Vavasour's own vineyards in the Awatere Valley. The Awatere Valley is a sub-district of Marlborough with its own particular terroir. The grapes were harvested at night to preserve their freshness and flavours. The special flavours created by the vineyard were preserved by careful winemaking.
TASTING NOTE
Pale straw-green. Tropical fruit, melon and citrus notes in the livley bouquet. The palate exhibits the same fine fruit flavours with an underlying flinty note typical of Awatere Valley fruit. The finish is crisp and dry. This Sauvignon Blanc is ready to drink now, and over the next 2 years.
