Montecillo Rioja Blanco is made from 100% Viura grapes. After pressing, the must is transferred to stainless steel vats where it is fermented at a controlled low temperature of 18°C. The clarified wine is bottled early in the year following the vintage. It is intended to be drunk young and fresh, but does develop for a year or two in the bottle.
TASTING NOTE
Montecillo Rioja Blanco : pale, brilliant green-gold colour. Intense, fresh bouquet of pear, apple and citrus. The palate is light, creamy and crisp with fresh fruit flavours, a light citrus note predominates. A slight prickle of trapped CO2 gas accentuates the fresh character.
