Sangiovese 85% with 15% of Colorino, Canaiolo and other varieties, all grown on the estate. Winemaking is carefully traditional: the fermentation takes place in glass-lined vats; a proportion of the wine is then aged in medium sized, old oak barrels while a proportion remains in stainless steel. After bottling the wine is kept for at least three months before release.
TASTING NOTE
Medium ruby red with garnet reflections; a full, intense bouquet, both flowery and herbal; the palate is dry and slightly bitter, and a hint of cherry with a full savoury flavour at its best with food.
