Pinot Noir 100%, grapes from the 6.5 hectares of the Clos des Mouches planted in Pinot Noir. The Clos des Mouches is an enclosed vineyard situated at the border of the Beaune Appellation with Pommard. Because of its very favourable southern exposure, this was a very good place to keep bees - 'mouches' is the local name for bees - so the vineyard name means the 'Enclosure of the Honey Bee'.
The hand-picked grapes are fermented in open vats, and the wine is matured in oak barrels for about 20 months.
