| Welcome to HBJ?s Newsletter Sixth Issue
Welcome to our sixth Newsletter! As we are battered by wind and rain it's not hard to realise that Autumn is just round the corner. We are also being battered by the dramatically changing economic circumstances, not least the weakening of sterling against the euro. We have been forced, with great reluctance, to issue an interim Price List (which comes into operation for orders placed on or after 1 October 2008) to take account of the exchange rate, and also to reflect non-negotiable increases in freight and in the cost of dry goods. We have done our utmost to keep these increases to a minimum.
We are not entirely gloomy however and we look forward to pursuing new business - while maintaining and strengthening support for all our existing customers. We are all in this together! There is lots of good news to impart in this edition of the HBJ Newsletter, and still more in the next - so we hope you will stay in touch. Please do send us any comments or news. With best wishes for you and your businesses Christopher Hayman, Chairman and MD
